Idol, Big Brother & Ecuador

I liked about 4 of this week’s top 10 Male Idols. I think my 2 top favourites based on Tuesday night’s performance were Michael Michael and david.jpg David. Now I think Michael will be one of my favourites all the way through, as I like everything about him. David is amazing, and I remember how he blew my socks off when he won “Star Search” as a 12 year old! He could wear old on me, but we’ll see if he continues to seem sincere as time goes on. I’ll talk about the ladies later.

I’m super happy to see Jen go home from Big Brother 9. She was a major fake. Wait until her beloved Ryan discovers that she outwardly called him a “racist” on MORE than one occasion. As far as finding any pair that I “like”, that hasn’t happened yet. So far they are all mostly more than annoying! Hubby and I were wondering last night…. “Where did the gay couple go???? Did we dream all of that? Is there not only one of them left? WTF?”

Latest update from Sarah:

Hello! The food had been GREAT! Sometimes really small portions, but then we go out for dessert and it’s been tons of fun. Only 2 days left, 3 surgeries each day…then it’s time to do inventory (blech) pack up and come home! I can’t wait to be home…having fun but missing back home. The politics sure don’t escape you wherevery you work…even it if is for charity. These cranky old nurses need to lighten up! Talk and see you soon!

Love Sarah

Well that’s all the time I have. Sorry for the mixed bag of nuts this morning, but that’s how my brain mostly functions these days!

Going to Miss Them!

Going to Miss ThemBen and Jess were out for lunch yesterday.  They were in Kelowna last weekend, so we hadn’t seen to much of them.  They were house hunting.  Now they’re in the process of talking to a mortgage broker to see how much of a mortgage they can carry.  They’re looking into a condo or towne house, in a great location.  Preferably a fixer-upper that Ben can renovate.  He’s lucky, in that he’s been working as a finishing carpenter for the past year and a half, so he has all the skills he needs to do the job properly.

While I would never say anything to them, because Ben gave me the opportunity to when he first told me of their plan to move to Kelowna, hubby and I sure have some reservations about their decision.  That is aside from the fact that we’re just used to them being around, and will miss being able to see them any old time.  Ben has such a bright future here. He has a construction job he enjoys, has 2 years left of school, is very highly thought of by the radio stations he works for, and has likely his best shot of fulfilling his dream of having a career in radio right here, and Jess has a GREAT job and is doing the best she’s ever done in a job.  They’re leaving it all, and it makes me a bit nervous, and sad.  But that’s just a Momma bear thing.  I hope it all comes together for the 2 of them!
