I’m getting ready to do a few quick chores, and then watch the Oilers game on TV.  As you can see, the pups are wearing their jerseys too.  They also have Oiler collars, leashes, and tags too (of course!)  Might as well spread the fanaticism!  We gave our tickets to the game to our next door neighbor.  It’s cold and nasty out, and hubby and I would just as soon plop our fat asses on our comfy couches, open a beer, and watch it at home.  The Oilers have been playing very well as of late!  They’re pretty much mathematically out of the playoffs even if they went on a tremendous winning streak.  It’s still great fun to watch all the rookies, like Sam Gagner, Andrew Cogliano, Robert Nilsson, Tom Gilbert, etc.  They’re really thriving with all the added ice time due to all our injuries.  Yesterday the Oilers had their annual skills competition, and they sold it out!!  Unbelievable, the support of this team, even in the bad times!  The even raised $75,000 for charity. Go Oil!!

After the game, of course, we’ll have to watch Big Brother, with hopes that it starts to get more interesting.  It looks like this week, Allison and Ryan start to get closer.  That would serve that lying Jen brat right!  hehe

I liked about 4 of this week’s top 10 Male Idols. I think my 2 top favourites based on Tuesday night’s performance were Michael and David. Now I think Michael will be one of my favourites all the way through, as I like everything about him. David is amazing, and I remember how he blew my socks off when he won “Star Search” as a 12 year old! He could wear old on me, but we’ll see if he continues to seem sincere as time goes on. I’ll talk about the ladies later.

I’m super happy to see Jen go home from Big Brother 9. She was a major fake. Wait until her beloved Ryan discovers that she outwardly called him a “racist” on MORE than one occasion. As far as finding any pair that I “like”, that hasn’t happened yet. So far they are all mostly more than annoying! Hubby and I were wondering last night…. “Where did the gay couple go???? Did we dream all of that? Is there not only one of them left? WTF?”

Hello! The food had been GREAT! Sometimes really small portions, but then we go out for dessert and it’s been tons of fun. Only 2 days left, 3 surgeries each day…then it’s time to do inventory (blech) pack up and come home! I can’t wait to be home…having fun but missing back home. The politics sure don’t escape you wherevery you work…even it if is for charity. These cranky old nurses need to lighten up! Talk and see you soon!

I’m watching a delayed telecast of the SAG awards red carpet special. It’s so amusing to me how the women “pose”. I swear to gawd that Nicolette Sheridan has been standing in the same spot posing and pouting, and flicking her hair for 20 minutes! How gaggy! Some women just seem to stand and look beautiful, while others are doing the whole model thing. Most of them are wearing “nude” colored dresses, and I don’t get how that color is flattering to most colour types! Oh well. What the hell do I know!? I’m laying at home sick in bed in my nightie!

I was watching AI tonight, and it absolutely amazes me all the people that stand there and argue with the judges after they’ve been told “no”.  Or they will BEG for another chance, and continue to sing, even though they’ve been “dismissed”.  People get annoyed at Simon for being rude, but can you seriously imagine sitting and listening to that gong show all the live long day?! I’d be throwing things by the 10th one!  My favourite so far, is the brother of the Indian brother and sister.  They both made it, but I just loved him!

I also saw the previews for “The Amazing Race Reunion” show, and it should be fantastic!  Very cutthroat!  That’s what will make it awesome!  As long as those damn blonds don’t win this time either!!  hehehe

Is anyone else watching the Golden Globes? I have been - kind of out of the corner of one eye while I am surfing and working on blogs. Oddly, I haven’t noticed anyone dressed in a strange or overly appalling fashion! (well, besides Prince of course) The women all seem to look drop-dead gorgeous for the mos part! What’s up with that?? I think that Cameron Diaz looked rather “witchy”. I can’t stand her with black hair, and I wasn’t all that keen on her dress. Reese Witherspoon was gorgeous!! However, she is getting entirely too thin! “Ugly Betty” was not ugly at all!! I thought Drew Berrymore, and Renee Zelwiger looked amazing too, even though Renee and that “pinched” mouth make me want to tell her to spit the lemons out! Hillary Swank looked fabulous in black! She is really growing more beautiful with age.

Vanessa Williams must have watched Dream Girls too many times, because she showed up with a Diana Ross Wannabe hairdo, and it’s hard to make Vanessa look bad!

…….and that’s all I have to say about that!

I can’t believe how much I love this show!!!! This is the most personable, humourous family ever!! If their screwed up life style produces kids like this, then, I’m all for it!! Don’t think for a moment I like his music, or know anything about him, but I think he’s awesome as a “family man”!!

Watching the WEAVER family on Ama*zing Ra*ce is NOT doing my mood any good whatsoever!! If that scraggy mother says, “Please God help us find….. ” one more time I’m going to spit nails! Now you know!

I must organize my TV viewing schedule for tonight! There is the season premieres of the “Biggest Loser” and “House”, the season finale of “Candian Idol”, and of course, “Big Brother 6″. Hmmm how to catch them all before falling asleep!

Just so you all know, Licky Lickerson first pushed Ben’s pizza box off the counter onto the floor in an attempt to get it before Ben got home, so I put it back on the counter, only to hear him again, and this time he had figured out how to OPEN the box. BASTARD.
