Who Put The Shit in Shih Tzu??

Teebo did, that’s who!

It is NOT a good day in Doggy Daycare!

First of all they got me up at 3:00 AM to go to the bathroom. After they did that, ate, had some water, they were up for about half an hour, and then went back in their crate until 6:00 am.

We did the usual, went outside, came back in. They were eating. Somehow with me sitting practically right there, one of them (I’m blaming Teebo) peed on the floor! Grrrr Not 2 minutes later, someone pooped on the floor!!

I got myself dressed and ready to run to Walmart to print a bunch of wedding photos. It was taking so long, I looked at my watch I saw that I’d be gone 3 hours by the time I got home, so I thought I best get booting home. I was pleased to hear no barking when I got home. When I opened the door, I found out why. They had broken out of their crate, and peed on the floor 3 times!

I put them outside to play while I cleaned up the mess. Then I joined them outside to do some yard work. Including picking up dog shit.  Of course they can’t be outside alone right now, because the little bastards behind us, stand at the fence, and call the pups to come and crawl into their yard again. Double Grrr!

We were back in the house, and I was just doing some things, and all of a sudden I couldn’t see the dogs! They’re only allowed in the kitchen/family room so far. I finally opened the laundry room door, and there was Teebo… sitting in the cat’s covered litter box. Sadly he had no idea why!

Right now, as I type, I’m watching a dog agility show on the big screen, and Teebo is sitting right in front of the TV barking at the dogs!

That’s why they’re in JAIL in the photo.

In good news, they know the command SIT! (and apparently SHIT).

Just Hanging Around

I swear, Stanley only has a couple of lives left! Myself included with the heart attacks that go with thinking I’ve lost the little baby! Today Smudge and Stanley were tethered outside as usual. Stanley’s tether led under the ginormous spruce tree in the backyard. One time when I looked out to check, Smudge was sitting there looking at the house, in a similar fashion to the day Stanley snuck under the fence, into the neighbor’s yard while still on his tether! So I looked at him a bit, decided he had a hair ball, and went on with my laundry. Next time I looked out there, I could see that Smudge was tangled around the fire pit, so I went out to rescue him. I was just turning to take him into the house, when I heard that familiar, and pitiful squeaking that is Stanley’s meow. I gently pulled on his tether, and it didn’t budge, so I got down nearly on my belly to look under the tree, and there he was…..hanging from a branch about 2 feet up in the tree!!! He obviously had been climbing the tree, and was sitting on the branch. When he decided to jump down, he didn’t have enough rope! hehehe… he looked so damn silly, and sounded so pitiful!! He wasn’t in any “danger”, as they wear harnesses, so he was being held up by the strap that goes around his middle. Good damn thing, cause several years ago, I went outside, only to find Smudge hanging from the fence!!

They kind of resemble parachuters who have gone astray!

Stanley Meets Sven

This picture is especially for Some Girl, who was wondering what Sven was up to! As you can see, he’s trying to escape being decapitated by a kitten!

Cuddle Buddies

Miles has been here for a couple of days again. The old cats are getting so used to the kittens, that there’s hardly a problem anymore. As you can see, Ice’s left eye is all red, and closed. His eye started running yesterday, and by today it looked horrible, so I took him into the vets. $90 and some eye drops later, we were on our way home. It seems that he had a scratch on his eye. I’m suspecting Stanley was the culprit.

We finally got Ben’s truck back yesterday. That little fix it was a $1200 touch. Blech! Ben didn’t stay mad at me very long. He came out with a friend of his on Thursday night. We got a look at his new tatoo. It’s a choi fish and it covers almost his whole skinny little calf. I was quite horrified by how “large” it is, but I did my best to hide my thoughts on that! Then yesterday, he got rained out after a few hours at work, so he came out with Miles for the afternoon. Sarah phoned that evening when she got home from work “crying” that her kitty was gone. Her companion. LMAO she’s as big a suck as me!

I’ve been fighting some type of stomach thing the last 2 days. Yesterday I was in bed all day, and today, I’ve been a little more mobile, mostly because I had to take the cat to the vet, but I’m still not feeling normal, by any means. I’ve had a really bad headache in the back of my head, which is odd, and my stomach feels like it’s been infalted with air. Feels distended and uncomfortable and crampy, and then all of a sudden I’ll get all sweaty, and feel like I’m going to toss my cookies. BLECH

Scared Me To Bits!

Eeeek! Hubby left to go run some errands, and a little while later, I was looking for Stanley. Of course, he doesn’t come yet when you call him, so I was searching and searching. Every nook and cranny, all his favorite sleeping spots. No kitty! Then I went and looked around outside, thinking perhaps he snuck out when hubby left, cause he’s quick like a fox! But of course, I couldn’t see him. I retraced all my steps about 4 times, and no kitty!! It doesn’t help that he can’t meow either. All he can do is squeak! Finally, as a last ditch effort, I checked the front hall closet, and sure enough, there he was sitting on the shoe shelf, looking rather pitiful! Whew!

I am taking him to the vet this afternoon for his first check-up since we found him. I should find out more about his apparent injuries. It seems that his tail has been broken, or cut off near the end. He has an odd bump on his hip, and he can not meow. Who could ever be mean to this little baby deserves a very nasty encounter in their lives too! Grrrrrrr

My Tablo

This is ME!  Stanley, or Lord Stanley as my Mom formally named me.  My new Daddy found me in the middle of the highway, and saved me from all the cars whizzing by me!  My new Mom was VERY happy to meet me, and she bought me this new toy, which makes me very happy!! This is the first picture she took of me, and now she won’t stop taking them!   I have 2 new, older white brothers.  They’re kinda cranky!  I don’t know if they just don’t like me, or if they’re scared of me.  I don’t know if the old dog has even noticed me yet!!

See my Tabblo>

Stanley and Miles Playing

This has been my weekend. Trying to keep these two little poops out of trouble!! They’re a HOOT! They’ve never met until yesterday. Miles is quite a lot bigger than Stanley, but that doesn’t stop them at all! They chase and chase and play and roll and go non-stop! They’re EVERYWHERE! They’ve been loving playing out on the balconey amongst all the flowers and plants. They look like 2 little tiger cubs playing in the jungle! This was all fine until I was outside watering plants this morning and I looked up to see the pair of them completely relaxed laying in the sun on the top railing! Geesh! I went up and got them off of there and shut the door. The reason I was so paranoid about them falling, is because the other morning, I hear hubby, yelling, “Goddamn cat BASTARDS! Thinking he had stepped in cat puke, I played possum and pretended to be sleeping, until he gently deposited a little furry kitty on the bed. He told me Stanley had been playing with a dried flower arrangement on the wall, by reaching through the railings up in the loft. Hubby saw him fall, and he clung to the flowers, but by the time hubby could get down the stairs, Stanley had fallen all the way down into the kitchen, and he did NOT land on his feet! He’s perfectly fine, but I think he only has 7 lives left now.

I was a total slug yesterday, so today I’ve been making up for it. I started doing laundry at the crack of dawn, and at 9:00 am, I went out and watered and fertilized all my flowers. Then I washed the windows from the outside, hosed down the deck (frickin’ spider webs) washed up the BBQ and fire pit stove, washed a bunch of chair cushions, and then I stained the picnic table and one chair (then I ran out of stain). I showered, and now I’m just waiting for hubby to get home from work.

Feel Free To Pee On it Stanley

I’m doing laundry today, and I had a hamper of clothes sitting on my bedroom floor, ready to be washed. 2 of the items happened to be my Oiler jerseys, which I’m going to wash and put away for the summer. Stanley is laying on my Pronger jersey. I figure he should pee on it.

Now… off the hockey rant. Yesterday at work, Miz THANG (my problem woman) said to me, “Bev, I was so proud of you when you left the snack table for someone else to deal with, and followed C to read books!” I nearly laughed in her damn face! She talked to me as if I was one of the 3 year olds. LMAO…. I just nodded, and went on with things. Then later she was “telling me” of some things that needed to be done for this child’s transition to his new school next year. I told her what I could get ready, and she argued with me…. in this case I know I’m right, and she’s off base, but I determined right at that time that you can NOT tell her anything, so I finally get it! I’m just going to nod my head from now on. Pfffft

It’s a SIGN!

Stanley 003

Originally uploaded by Bev In Hormoney.

Today I get a voicemail from hubby just before I left for work, so I called him at work, and he says…. “I got your kitty!” I asked him where from… he answered, “The highway!” I told him, “I wanted a LIVE one, not ROADKILL!” He laughed and said, “He is! He’s running all around my office! He was sitting in the middle of the highway! I thought he was a gopher! A car drove right over him, but missed him!!”

He didn’t know what to do with him for the day, so I called Mom, and she agreed to look after him. I went and got some kitty supplies at lunch, and hubby just brought him home. He’s so pretty! He plays, eats, uses the litter box and purrs. He’s been playing for 20 minutes with the toys I bought him.

I think HE is a HER, but its name is STANLEY regardless. One way or another we brought Stanley home! heheh

Hubby the putz said that I should name “her” Carolina if we lose tonight! Sheesh!

The Object of Ben’s Boredom

When Ben is bored, you never quite know what’s going to happen. First of all was the insane photo session, followed by running in here every 5 minutes and LEAPING on the bed to chatter about lord knows what, and NOW…. look what he’s done to my cat!!! He’s put a pedometer on him!! Smudgie always wears a harness, because he’s tied up when he goes outside. Always has been. The ‘K’ is the Special K pedometer Sarah got. So far, Smudge has taken 85 steps. Now I wonder how it counts all those legs? Hmmmm
