I finally got the haircut I had to cancel last week, so that feels better! Hubby is gone now until Saturday, and I’m going to thoroughly enjoy the solitude!! Ben and his buddy stopped by to pick up a bed for Jess to move into her place. She starts her new job tomorrow. Kev wants to put a new engine in my old car, and sell it, and then split the profit with me. Sounds like a hell of a deal to me!
Driving “Baby” to work was wonderful! What a huge difference! I can see better, I’ve got twice as much power, and it’s so much easier for me and my geriatric knees to get in and out of!
Today I asked little Austen how to spell his name. He goes A U S T E N ! ! I said, “What does that spell??” To which he replied, “ME!!”
I phoned my dentist at the very second they opened this morning,told them of my latest dilemma and then went to work. She called me back and said they could fit me in at 1:30 this afternoon, so I worked the morning class, and then left. I expected them to just cement the broken crown back on, patch it up, and then book appointments for a new temporary crown and molds, and then another to put the permanent one in. I lucked out, in that they had time to do all of the prep and temporary crown, so all I have to do is go back once more for just a half hour to get the permanent crown put in. So yay! I can smile again!

1. I’m very glad this week is nearly over. 2. I’m an idiot. I stayed to do the toy wash at work last night. I should have stayed at the November toy wash instead. We had way less toys then. 3. Last night I had a mystery rash. My face was scarlet, my hands were scarlet, and I had a rash all the way up my arm. Very odd. 4. We are finally having some winter weather. It’s 17 F degrees here this morning. I haven’t missed it! 5. My cat is cuddled up with me trying to keep warm. I’m currently burried in my bed with the laptop. 6. I need to wash my car, it’s gross, but obviously it’s way too cold! 7. I intend to watch the Olympics all weekend! 8. I should go visit my mother this weekend. I’ll likely be too lazy though. 9. I should go see my brother’s condo (yes STILL haven’t done that) but I’ll likely be too lazy. 10. People who take advantage at work, and don’t pull their weight PISS me right off this week. 11. I should go to work early, so that I can leave early. 12. I’ve had sinus/throat commotion going on now for about 4 weeks. It’s getting annoying. 13. I have some “friends” that also annoy me greatly, yet I still keep hanging out with them. I think it’s just to “bait them” into sounding stupid. Links to other Thursday Thirteens! |

I worked on the school web page for several hours this morning, since I was awake with the crows, or rather the noisey humans with whom I share this house! I didn’t have to go to work today, so of course I didn’t have to get up. Hubby was going into the shower at 4:20 am, Sarah got in the shower at 5:30, and Ben got up at 6:45. Well, by that time I was beyond wide awake, so I got to work. By about 10:00, I got ready, and went shopping for a few clothes to wear until the ones I ordered online get here.
This is My new school bag. It’s huge, and awesome! I also got a few tops, and they’re mostly that new aqua/tourquoise color. I love it! ALMOST as much as pink! heh! But not quite!
Yesterday’s workshop was as boring as watching paint dry. Linda and I also got lost for a period of time, so we were even late, and it was still LONG! It turns out, that Jenny (whom they gave my old job to), is pregnant, so she’ll be leaving in Feb. Man can I call ‘em or what!!?? It’s going to be one fucked up mess in that room this year! Karma’s a bitch. I just feel bad for Nick.
Yesterday, Carpenter boy got a $300 speeding ticket on his way home from work. ASS! He was feeling pretty crumby about it. GOOD!!! He was damn lucky! The cop nearly gave him one for rolling a stop sign, and for having a cracked license (WTF??!!). If he would have gotten all those tickets, it would have been over $1000. For the first year or so when he drove, he drove much slower and more cautious than Sarah did at that age. I don’t even know how many tickets she’s had, but it’s at least 4. She finally learned her lesson. It always surprised me that Ben was so cautious, because everything else that he does, he does in HIGH GEAR! So nice to see he’s driving at that speed now too! Damn I hope he’s learned!
Do NOT steam clean the carpets until AFTER you come back from holidays, as there may be instances of “spillage” occurring in your home during your absence!
So strike that off your to do list!
Well I woke up at 5:30 am as per usual, all set to do my workout, but I made the mistake of stopping at my computer, and finding Candy online, I ended up chatting and exercising only my fingers. That’s okay, it was time well spent, and I’m fairly sore from yesterday’s workout.
My plan for the day is to get dressed, head off to work, mail some packages and buy some more padded envelopes during my lunch hour, head back to work, gobble lunch, work, stop for groceries on the way home, unpack groceries, change, workout, cook low fat garlic shrimp fettuccini for dinner, clean up the kitchen, and then COLLAPSE!
