Sarah bought the pups Christmas duds. They quite like them! I might have to buy them booties, and sweaters. The winter has arrived now, and they’re finding it very cold on the footies!! It’s minus 20 C today with quite a bit of snow, and no signs of letting up. They’re not too happy about having to go out to pee! Yesterday I was found standing in the backyard in my nightie wearing a pair of crocs in a blizzard. Yes I know…. I’m truly elegant.

Tomorrow I’ve got hubby ripping out the old shower door in what was the kids’ bathroom. It’s old, and ugly. He’s also taking down the mirror. It’s one of those big flat mirrors, also nasty. AND taking down the light fixture. After all that demo, he’s going to paint the walls a milk chocolate color. I’ve got a new light fixture that is a nice stainless steel much more modern look, as well as a new mirror that is framed in stainless steel. I’m going to replace the shower doors with a new shower curtain. Hopefully all goes well. I want it nicer for the party, as I suspect that people will be using that bathroom, as well as the one off the kitchen.

I’ve been busy, but not that much busier than usual. As you can see, Ben asked Jess to marry him on Friday. They have no plans to have the wedding for probably 3-4 years when Jess is finished going to school. Ben and Jess have always played crazy 8’s every time they are bored. So, Ben glued a deck of cards together, drilled a whole in it, put the ring in the whole, and then placed 2 loose cards on the top. He told Jess to deal, and there it was! He asked her if she’d play crazy 8’s with him for the rest of his life. awww My Dad sold a pig to have enough money to buy a ring for my Mom 50 years ago, and that’s the ring that Ben gave to Jess. She was really touched! My mom had it all refurbished, and it looked like new!

I’ve been busy getting my house together. I bought new living room furniture and moved the old stuff into the family room, and hauled that furniture to the dump. It looks a lot better! I’m hosting a surprise 50th birthday party for hubby in 2 weeks, so I wanted to get the house in order. I also bought hubby a new “man chair” as his birthday/Christmas gift and he loves it!!

Work is going well. My 2 little people are thriving, and it’s great fun to watch them grow every day. The teacher I work for drives me a little batty from time to time, as she says things that come off very bitchy and rude from time to time, and at those times I’d just like to SLAP her!

The puppies are cute as ever, as they got their first haircuts, and we can actually see their eyes. They’re adorable!

I’ll try to get back in the posting groove again. I read blogs all the time, but just haven’t been posting in my own!
