Gargle, Gargle
I’m honestly online just as much as ever, and read and comment on your blogs all the time, but still seem to neglect updating my own! Part of it is that I do a lot of my paid posts, and then I think I’ve “updated”, but since I don’t do paid blogging on this website, I tend to forget!
I was feeling kind of blah, all week, overly tired, weak and achy. Nothing serious. By Saturday, I had a sore throat, and precious little energy. That didn’t stop me from going to the last Oiler’s pre-season game. We went for dinner, and then to the game, and managed to have a good time. Yesterday morning, hubby had to go into work for a few hours, and he felt like CRAP! He had a stomach thing going on, similar to what I had 2 weeks ago. I was still fighting a scratchy, annoying throat, with a cough coming on.
We had plans to go out with all the kids for dinner, and then to an Edmonton Oil Kings (WHL) game to cheer on one of Ben’s good friends, and former soccer and hockey teammates, as he’s been named captain of the EOK. Sadly neither of us felt up to it at all, so Ben, Jess, and 2 of their friends went instead. They had a really good time, even though the Oil Kings played horribly!
Work has been insane, wild, you name it! It was full moon last week, and it left its affects with the little people I’m telling you! Geesh! I am happy to say though, that my little Sam in the afternoons, is now happy and comfortable enough with me, that Mom can say “Goodbye,” and leave with no fuss. What an improvement from the boy who screamed bloody murder the entire time he was in our classroom with BOTH parents! His Mom is thrilled beyond words. She thought it would take months! We did a home visit at his house on Friday, and we also got him to do things with us that he’s never done before. Mom told me, that the only reason she thinks the transition went as well as it did, is because of me. Awww… nice to get a pat on the back from those who matter most. Now if she’d go tell the principal that! hahaha
Well time to get rolling into work. Today’s going to be a long one, as I have a 3 hour sign language course from 6:30-9:30 every Monday night for the next 6 weeks.

I don’t quite get the paid blogging thing - is it really worthwhile?
Gaile…it most certainly is! I’ve made a ton of money myself!
Bev, I hope you’re feeling better. Maybe this will make you feel better…ONE MORE DAY UNTIL HOCKEY SEASON!! Woot! Woot!
Feel better soon, Bev. How cool is it that you’re learning to sign? I love that.
