I had a great day off today! Yesterday was all about working around here, but today was NOT! I met my girlfriend (former co-worker of 10 years) for a 3 hour lunch. We’ve always been able to yap and yap, and we hadn’t seen each other for many months, so we had a lot to catch up on. She’s got 4 grandchildren now, and she and her hubby do a LOT of travelling, so she had lots of news! So, we had a long, leisurely lunch and got caught up. From there, we went to a couple of dress shops and I tried on a couple of outfits wedding/shower related), got totally disgusted/depressed, and came home! Gawd…. there’s not going to be anything that looks good on this fat ass!!

I got home, made supper, and watched the Oilers lose AGAIN, with a VERY cranky hubby, and finally said, fuck it, and I came up to bed, and peace and quiet!
