Yesterday morning I went racing into my usual grocery store, whipped over to the ATM that I ALWAYS use, shoved my card in, and waited, and waited, and waited. NADDA All the while I’m standing there, the bank girl is sitting at her kiosk 2 feet away, visiting with the grocery store’s floral clerk. Finally I asked her…. is this thing working??? She very snottily replied, “No … it’s still warming up!” I asked, “Was I supposed to know that?” She asked what the screen said when I put my card in. I told her, “It had the BMO screen up.” She tells me, “WELL you have to wait for the screen to say, please insert your card!” By this time, I’m getting very tired of her cranky ass speaking to me as if I’m a fucking idiot because I don’t know this, and the floral clerk is trying to defuse the situation, because she can sense how bitchy this woman is being, and she’s saying, “Wow! Good thing you’re not a nurse! You’re bed side manner needs some work!! I would have done the same thing! Glad you put your card in first!” I said, “Do you have any idea how many different ATM’s from different banks that a person uses in a week?? You expect me to know this??? How can I get my card back??” She ver stonily tells me, “You can’t! They’ll eventually get it out, and then they destroy them all. You’ll have to get your bank to issue you a new one!” By this time, my temper is about to GO OFF!!!! “Well that sure wasn’t in my days’ plans!” All of a sudden, the screen says, This machine is temporarily out of order! I looked at the woman and said, “Now THAT I would have understood! ” I stormed out of the store and am saying loudly, “Thank you VERY much!!”

The stupidest thing about all this, is that my hubby managed this grocery store for 2 years. I shop there all the time, we know all the employees. EXCEPT this bank employee, so I was SUPER patient with her, as I always am with retail people, since my whole family has, or does work with the public. And she still managed to make my blood BOIL!!!!!!
