I finally staggered into the bathroom and made the mistake of looking in the mirror to discover that I am getting a GINORMOUS zit above my lip! How SEXAY!! Who the hell is the joker that gives you hot flashes, grey hair, wrinkles, a bad bladder and ZITS in the same stage of life!!???

I’m sitting in my bed, surfing blogs, when all of a sudden, I start hearing THWUMP! THWUMP! At first I thought it was snow melting and sliding off the roof, but then I hear another THWIUMP right agains my window, and then I realized it was BEN throwing snowballs at my bedroom window, yelling, “MOM! Let me in!” So I opened the window, and in my lovely croaky, sick, Marge Simpson voice, I bellered out the window, “What do you want you little bastard??” He laughed his skinny ass off. We’re classy like that.

Damn I’m sick!! I must have bronchitis. I coughed so hard the other night, that I couldn’t breathe!! Something closed off in my chest, and I could not get a breath… very scarey. Must be a bit like what a severe asthmatic goes through! My ribs and stomach are sore from coughing. Tonight I’m going to sleep sitting up. I don’t cough near as much that way. I had lunch plans with Doreen yesterday, whom I haven’t seen in months, dinner and Oiler game plans with hubby for last night, and I had to cancel it all. Blech! Being sick is one thing, but could I NOT get sick during a work week instead of a vacation week??!!!

I didn’t do very much today. I’m really fighting off coming down with bronchitis, and wasn’t feeling too peppy today. I watched “Derailed” today, and really enjoyed it. I heard it didn’t do well at the theaters, but I quite enjoyed it! After the movie I went out to pick up a Timmy’s coffee, and a few things at the store. Then I went to the post office and picked up my latest EBay purchase, an IPOD Nano. I washed my Jeep and came home, and have been attempting to figure out my IPOD since.

I’m going to watch some TV, and take it easy. I may watch another movie later if there’s nothing on the tube. I’m thinking Lisa will bite the bullet this week.

I’m home from my visit. Very nice to take my Jeep out on the highway with Josh Groban blaring on such a nice sunny spring day!

Mom has her 45 or 50 year Nurse’s reunion in 2 weeks, and needed to buy some new slacks so I took her out shopping. She was very grateful for that. I was eyeing this purse, and told her she could buy that for me for my birthday, so she bought it today, even though it’s a few weeks early. I lurve it! Very springy! We had a sandwich and coffee after, and a visit, and not a “comment” was made. How nice it was!!! She loved my Jeep, and I got to check out her new wheels too. Very sporty for an old broad!

Seeing all the beautiful new spring clothes in the stores, and catching a few glimpses of myself in those dreadful store mirrors that are everywhere thoroughly drove home the fact to me that I am a big fat COW!!! Good grief! What have I been thinking???!!! After all the years of dieting and working out faithfully, and being in the best shape of my life a mere 2 years ago, what the fuck have I been thinking!!?? How did I convince myself that this is fine with me?? I don’t have near the energy I used to, my knee is getting worse all the time, my back is starting to bother me and my shoulder is still a mess a makes my arm go numb some days. I’d bitch too if I was my body parts, and had to lug this ass around! I told hubby…. once the Oilers’ season is over, I’m going on the wagon, and starting to diet and exercise. If I’m a smart cookie, I’ll start the exercising part sooner than that! I’m just not giving up my beer until the season is done, because watching them play, sober, is just too painful some nights! heh!

I have another bitch. CAT HAIR!!! I can not STAND the cat hair around this place! It’s impossible to keep up with! I’m not a slob by any means, neither am I the Mrs. OCD that I used to be, but I don’t want to let anyone in this house, because within 5 minutes, they’re going to have damn white cat hair on themselves! I GROAN outloud when vistors come wearing black! I do not know how to “control” it. And man that shit floats through the air! After yesterdays’ cleaning frenzy, I’m really frustrated with it! I’m thinking a new vacuum cleaner may help somewhat, but I’m not that convinced. We changed their catfood once to see if that helped, but it didn’t at all. If anyone has some tips…. please share! Or there is going to be 2 bald cats freezing their boney asses off up here in Canada!

I was a cleaning machine yesterday! I did our bedroom from top to bottom. Washed all the bedding, moved the furniture around, and did a thorough cleaning. I didn’t do the closet, because I’ll do that when I shuffle all the winter clothes out of there and bring on Spring!

I’m going to drive Baby down to my Mom’s to show her off. Mom also got a new car a few months ago after she got schmucked by a young kid. She bought herself a little Sunfire, which she’s really enjoying. She hardly drives anymore, so it’s perfect for her.

I haven’t seen Mom since Christmas. Yes, I’m a bad daughter, but sometimes, it’s just too hard to deal with the “comments”.

Not much going on this weekend. I’m not feeling quite 100%. Woke up with an eye infection for unknown reasons, and still have a head cold, so I’ve been pretty tired.

The kids are all coming out to watch the game, and have dinner tonight. Other than that, nothing much is going on around here!
