Sarah & Jay Christmas Morning

YAY!! Go me! I finally rose from the dead! Sarah and I went through the boxes of things I’d been stashing away for the day that the kids would move out and took out what she’d need. Towels, glasses, set of dishes, bowls, vases, cups, teapot, blankets, etc. She’s already bought quite a few things, got several things for Christmas and won’t need too much more. It appears that they will have no lamps. Ha! I gave each of them complete bathroom sets for Christmas too. Sarah’s is the little “duckies” which have a real soft spot in her heart (which I’ll explain one day), and I got Ben a more “manly” set. (until he discovered that it has a flower overhang on the shower curtain) LMAO… I will remove that. Now they’re out shopping for a small computer table, and Ben is looking for a “hat rack” and a laundry sack “for bringing his laundry home to Mom every Sunday when they come home for dinner” to which I said, “Pffffttt!” We got all their things piled up in the basement and hubby brought home boxes for them to pack up properly.

I also have been doing laundry all day, and got rid of all the Christmas crap. I cleaned quite a bit too, so everything is pretty well good to go except I’ll need to vacuum tomorrow.

Hubby and I are going out for dinner, and then to the Oilers game tonight, so that should be fun. We skipped the last 2 home games which were both home games against Minnisota. They are the most damn boring team on this earth to watch. Them and that damn trap! Grrrrrr (we lost both games) No!! I’m not bitter. Much.

Just an FYI…the light blue is hard to read against the white!

As for Sarah and Ben…I think it is cool they bought their only place :) Are you okay with becoming and empty nester?

Gee, you weren’t anxious to get them out of the house, were you?

How long have you been saving up stuff for them for their own pads? lol
