Felt Like Monday

Well winter has arrived again. It snowed most of the day, but it isn’t accumulating too much. It sure has gotten back to “normal” November temperatures this week! I was at Wally World by 8:00 am to return the 2 gifts that I got my brother. I made a point of going that early so there wouldn’t be any lineups at customer service. While there, I picked up another set of those cozy sheets to give Jay for Christmas. Sarah said he freezes down in their basement suite, and that he would really like them. They were a total “hit” with my 2 kids. I only wish my pair would have fit! “sniff*

Hubby is already wishing he could come home instead of sitting around airports, but I’m sure once he gets to Winterpeg, he’ll enjoy it more. I wouldn’t mind room serivice, and a maid and valet service for a week!

Oilers just tied the game against COLORADO!! Woot!

Dammit

Well I got hubby to the airport in time, after having to return home after getting about 2 miles out of town to get his WALLET. DUH! I zipped into the City and thought I did pretty darn good! I got these fabulous soft, soft polar fleece sheet sets. They’re wonderful!! Sarah and Ben will be very pleasantly surprised when they discover the warm coziness in their beds tonight. BUT the set for our bed was marked “King”, but I got them all washed and was putting them on the bed, only to discover that they were actually “double” size. Hmmmph!!! I also bought 2 things for my brother from his list, only to discover that Mom had bought the same items, and hers can’t be returned, so that’s what I’ll be doing tomorrow morning. Pfffft! So my shopping excursion wasn’t quite as successful as I originally thought!

Rawk On Esks!

Ray-11.27.jpg The 2005 Grey Cup game was awesome! Very exciting! Right down to double overtime! The Eskimos won!! We had 10 people out to watch the game. Just hubby’s folks, Ben and 3 of his buddies, Sarah, Jay and Adam. I went for groceries first thing this morning, came home and made a huge lasagna to throw in the oven later. Hubby made hot wings, and we put out a lot of yummy munchies to eat during the game, and then we had lasagna near the end of the game. We had pumpkin swirl cheesecake for desert. We had a good time. I also got a lot of cleaning and some of the laundry done before everyone got here.

I was supposed to go to a PD thing tomorrow, but I’ve decide to not bother. I’ll take hubby out to the airport instead, and then I think I’ll head into the city to try and wrap up my Christmas shopping, or at least the bulk of it. Hubby will be gone for a week, so that will be rather “strange”.

Again with the L*A*Z*I*N*E*S*S*

I knew I was tired this past week, but this is ridiculous! I don’t feel like doing much of ANYTHING! I don’t think I could be more lazy if I tried! I should be cleaning my house. I may get around to it later, but right now I’m just watching movies.

I should be taking advantage of the nice warm weather, and good roads to go do some Christmas shopping too! I’m completely finished with Sarah and my Mom. I’m half finished with Ben, and hubby and I aren’t buying each other anything, as our big screen TV broke down for the third time this year, so we went out and bought a new one I’m getting him the stand for his birthday which is in a couple of weeks. I know exactly what I want to get my brother. He moves into his new condo mid-December, and I want to get him the barstools that were in the show-suite, because he really liked them. I found where they’re sold, so I just have to go into the store to see if they have them in stock. But that requires EFFORT! I am also finished with Jess, and am clueless as to what to get Jay. I’ll leave that up to Sarah. We just gave him money to go out for dinner for his birthday this week.

My Little Man

I took this picture (and many more) of E yesterday afternoon out on the playground. We have had record breaking temperatures all week!! It was over 60 degrees yesterday!! Nice and sunny, no wind, flip-flops in November in Canada. UNHEARD of! 2 years ago yesterday, was the Heritage Classic outdoor hockey game and it was so cold that hubby and Sarah nearly froze their knuckles off! Crazy weather!

I have the next 4 days off of work, and I’m so glad!! Monday, I do have to go to a PD session for 2.5 hours, but it will be very useful to me, as it’s on doing Home Sessions, and it’s right here in town, so it won’t be too much of a PITA.

The assistant that I work with in the morning program has had something serious up her ass for the past week or two. We have NO clue what is wrong with her, but she is just barely talking to anyone. She’s just fucking foul!! She only speaks if we ask her something. I do not understand how a grown woman can act that way in public!! She should be ashamed of herself. Now she’s gone for a week to go on one of THREE vacations she’s taking during the school year, which a whole other piss-off. Most of us never request leaves for a vacation, as we know that the time for that is during all our time off. SHE however doesn’t “get that”, and she’s got her head so far up the head hauncho’s butt, that she’s getting away with it. It just messes us up, having to have subs in, and I end up doing a whole lot of extra work, and we know how much my lazy ass hates that! Grrrrr

God’s Email

One day God was looking down at Earth and saw all the rascally behavior that was going on. He decided to send an angel down to Earth to check things out. When the angel returned, she told God, “Yes, it is bad on Earth; 95% are misbehaving and only 5% are not.” God thought for a moment and said, “Maybe I had better send down another angel for a second opinion.” When that angel returned, he went to God and said, “Yes, it’s absolutely true. The Earth is in a ravaging decline! 95% are misbehaving and only 5% are being good.” God was not pleased. So He decided to e-mail the 5% that were good, because He wanted to encourage them and give them a little something to help them keep going. Do you know what the E-mail said?

Just wondering…….I didn’t get one either………

Coming Home

I stopped the car and took this picture on the way home from work tonight. The sunset was awesome!!! Just gorgeous.

In case you hadn’t figured it out yet, I am a BONEHEAD! As I bitched earlier, I had to go to work for 7:00 am again this morning. I pulled into the parking lot, and saw a woman in the school (through the window). I went into the school, and it was then I realized, I traded Tuesday for Wednesday this week!! I did NOT have to be there! Wahhhhhh!! AND I have to be there for 7:00 am AGAIN tomorrow. What an ass! DURH! But… then I’m finished! Whoo Hoo! A replacement has been found! Thank the Lord for smaller pay cheques.

awwwk

What a Monday! Sarah woke me up at 4:45 am with the sound of yakking. Blech. Needless to say I didn’t manage to fall asleep again before my alarm went at 5:15 am. I have 3 early mornings in child-care this week. I MUST resign from that job this week!! Yuck!

Time for me to scram!
