Adios

It’s 32 degrees Farenheit here today, with about 4 inches of snow on the ground. Sarah left for Mexico at 9:00 am this morning with 6 girlfriends. Pfffft

I’ve Been Tagged

I was tagged by Chaos Girl, so here goes!

What follows is a list of different occupations. Select at least five of them. Add more to the list if you like, and then pass it on.

Of the five you selected, you are to finish each phrase with what you would do as a member of that profession. Then pass it on to three other bloggers.

If I could be a scientist…

If I could be a farmer…I could play pool, and have snoozes during the winter, like “some people” I know.

If I could be a musician…
If I could be a doctor…

If I could be a painter…I think it would be such a soothing, relaxing hobby if a person was really actually good at it.

If I could be a gardener…
If I could be a missionary…
If I could be a chef…
If I could be an architect…
If I could be a linguist…

If I could be a psychologist…I may understand my own damn self, and perhaps some of the whack jobs surrounding me!

If I could be a librarian…

If I could be an athlete…I’d be a 4th line goon for the Oilers, making $1 million a year, and playing 4 minutes/game! LOL

If I could be a lawyer…
If I could be an innkeeper…
If I could be a professor…
If I could be a writer…
If I could be a backup dancer…
If I could be a llama-rider…
If I could be a bonnie pirate…
If I could be a midget stripper…
If I could be a proctologist…
If I could be a TV-Chat Show host…
If I could be an actor…

If I could be a judge…I’d order castration for all sex offenders. With NO anethstetic.

If I could be a Jedi…
If I could be a mob boss…
If I could be a personal trainer…
If I could be a professional race car driver…
If I could be a stand-up comedian…
If I could be an artist…

It’s That Time Again!

Welllllllll it’s 40 below, and I don’t give a fuck,
Got a heater in my truck,
And I’m off to the rodeo!

sing it with me!

Every year I post that song, because every year when we go to the special needs rodeo, it’s fucking snowing!!! We take our kids to this event, annually, and they LOVE it!! It’s a wonderful thing, but the weather always SUCKS!!! They open the midway for the kids, and let them ride for free, but good gawd it’s cold! This year it’s windy too!!!

So think of me, sitting high atop the ferris wheel where it’s likely to FREEZE the fuck up, and Nick and I will be sitting up there until spring returns!!

Ha Ha

A fiftyish woman was at home, happily jumping on her bed and squealing with delight. Her husband watched her for a while and asked, “Do you have any idea how ridiculous you look? What’s the matter with you?” The woman continues to bounce on the bed and says, “I don’t care. I just came from having a mammogram and the doctor said that I have the breasts of an 18 year-old.” The husband asked, “What about your 55 year old ass?”

“Your name never came up.” She replied.

The Adulthoood of My “Kids”

exp.jpgWell Sarah has her vehicle in her hot little hands now, so she’s off showing it off tonight. Ben got a job today, so his deal on “this” truck (his is a 2003, the one shown is a 2004…. color is the same) will be finalized and the keys in his hand by Friday. Wow! Talk about big spending around here in the last 48 hours!! I’ll just be glad when it’s finished and everyone has started their jobs!! Ben starts one week from Monday, which is great, as he has 4 wisdom teeth out this coming Monday.

It’s seriously ass-numbing cold here. 30 degrees, with a wind, and intermittent snow flakes! Blech!

Deal is Nearly Sealed

3.jpgHere is a picture of Sarah’s new ride. She’s so excited she can hardly sit still! She’s dancing and jigging all over like a crazy woman! She also confirmed her job, which she will start the day after she returns from Mexico, being May 9. Big times for her! The dealership will be calling her tomorrow morning to go pick it up.

Now Ben is REALLY getting antsy to buy his! He goes for his job interview tomorrow, so the outcome of that will give him more idea when he can start serious shopping.

The old boy is still moaning and groaning and being pitiful, so hopefully that passes soon, or we may have to move his whiney ass out to the garage!

AI was kind of MEH tonight I thought. My guess is that Scott is going home tomorrow, but one never knows for sure!

Cars, Cars and More Cars

Sarah and I spent almost the whole day shopping for, and test-driving vehicles for her.

It’s crazy, but with the 0% interest rate, and $1000 university graduate rebates on brand new vehicles, it’s probably going to be cheaper for her to buy new than slightly used! WTF sense does that make??

Right now the leader in the vehicle department, is a brand new 2005 Titanium Green Ford Escape 4×4. She would have happily driven in away in a new Pontiac Sunfire, or Grand Am, as they have great deals on those right now, but there was seriously a lack of headroom for Sarah!

Jay and her are scouting out a couple more dealerships tonight, just making sure she’s getting the best deal possible.

All I know is it’s giving me a headache!

Ho Hum II

I have 4 days off right? I had a great day on Friday, but yesterday and today and I’m sure tomorrow, have sucked the big lemon! Geeze!

Today I went and washed out hubby’s Jeep inside and out (disGUSTing), bought groceries, planning for dinner because Sarah and Jay were going to come. Just before I got to the cashier, I get a phone call…. they’re not coming. Pfffft Got home, unloaded groceries, sanded down the bench seat out on the balconey, stained it, and now Ben and I are thinking about eating hotdogs for supper. Jealous?

In the meantime, hubby is laying on the couch, having come home from work early with his sick sore throat. Moaning, groaning, and being as pitiful as humanly possible. I’m trying to keep away other than to throw drugs at him, so as not to kill him and put us both out of our misery.

I lead a sad and pathetic life!

Ho Hum

Today is my birthday, as someone blabbed! I got some very sweet e-cards and emails from some very dear friends. Hubby forgot completely until mid-morning, and then had a panic attack. I knew I wasn’t getting a gift, as I got my laptop for Valentines/Birthday. He did surprise me though and brought me home a gift and card. I can’t discuss the gift, as it’s of a very personal nature. LMAO Monty wrote me the sweetest email, as that’s the kinda guy he is. My kids got me a great looking jean jacket and Jay and Sarah got me the Il Divo CD I was pining over. I got money from the parents.

Yesterday I had a great lunch with the ladies! Doreen brought me a gorgeous plant, and Amy gave me some flowers, and they treated me to lunch, which was great! Then I raced home and picked up Ben and headed into the city. We exchanged his shirts for ones he liked, and then we ran over to Moores to buy Ben a suit for Jess’s graduation at the end of May. Of course, because he’s a 38 Tall with the sleeves let down to the max (monkey arms), he didn’t have many to choose from, and NONE in the “sale” price, only the Italian expensive type. grrrr He told Jess she had to marry him now so he could wear his suit again, and that she’ll have to bury him in it too! Dork! From there we drove out to Wetaskiwin to look at some trucks that Ben is interested in buying.

We were invited over to our good friends’ Carl and Marlene’s for dinner tonight as their son, who has been one of Ben’s best friends for years, has the same birthday as me, so they always have us over for a joint birthday celebration. We had to cancel on them, as hubby is sick with what may be strep throat, so I’ve been sitting here like a lump, bored out of my skull waiting until it’s time to go to bed! Pfffft
