New Game for this Weekend

Yesterday I didn’t do much at all, other than a bit of tidying up, and the laundry. This weekend, I’m obsessing over the game, Bookworm. For reasons unknown to me, my knee has decided to torture me the past few days. It even locked up when I was driving to work the other morning. Not so good! Ever since, it’s been quite a mess. It’s actually been very good for the past few weeks, so I have no idea what riled it all up again.

Thursday night Jay came out for pizza and to see Sarah for a few hours before he headed home (he’s on Reading Week, and had been away skiing). Sarah was excitedly telling us about her day at work. She got asked by the surgeon to make her first incision. Sarah asks us, “Where do you think it was?” I guessed, “Appendix.” She says, “NO!!! Testicles!”

LMAO Jay visibly cringed, and I said, “Sarah that’s a most awesome skill for any woman to have!!”

TGIF

Nick had another noisey bad day, so he and I will not be attending the Symphony on Monday. Thank Gawd! It was a nightmare last year, and this year I have a feeling it would be worse. At least I don’t need to fret about that over the weekend.

I need a beer.

AI

I can’t argue much with the choices for guys and gals that went home today, but I will not rest until that Mini-Fran Drescher goes home (Mikelah)! She’s like fingernails scratching on a blackboard to me. Not her singing so much, but her PERSONALITY is over the top!!

Nick was very good today! Thank goodness. I had talked to his Mom yesterday about how rough a day he had. Apparently when she got him home, she had a good talk with him about his behaviour, and banned him from the TV, and game boy, etc. She told him if he didn’t behave today, he wouldn’t get those things back tonight either. Well he had a good day, and we ran out to the car together to tell Mom. she was happy, and he was so proud! I personally was relieved.

What % Bitch Am I?

I am 33% Asshole/Bitch.
Part Time Asshole/Bitch.

I may think I am an asshole or a bitch, but the truth is I am a good person at heart. Yeah sure, I can have a mean streak in me, but most of the people I meet like me.

A Wee Little Light In An Otherwise Terribly Stressfilled Day!

Today was CRAZY and DREADFUL! Nick was a nightmare! He came into the building furious over something to do with his backpack. I never did figure out what he was hollering about. He settled down and worked okay for a while, but then when I was on my break, he apparently went to the bathroom, and Mrs. J went to check on him, and found him crawling around on top of the urinal. She told him to get down, and of course he shouted, and hollered and punched her in the chest. Later in gym, he was just being a brat! Stole the hockey puck from the boys playing floor hockey, ran around with it, and when the gym teacher went to get him, he threw 2 hockey sticks at her, and hollered and screeched, jumped up on the stage, and then threw a scooter board!! OYYYY!!! (no he wasn’t through yet) After recess, he wouldn’t come in when the bell went, so when Mrs. J was trying to get him in, when they finally got into the bootroom, he threw his boots at her. It was just a fucking gongshow, and on days like this they do NOT pay me enough to do this!

Thank gawd for Carlton! He’s a little Phillipino boy in our class, so his English isn’t the greatest, on top of his learning disabilities. He was doing some phonics, and he was working on “opposites”. What is the opposite of different? why, it is dusame of course!

Could I BE Anymore Boring!!??

Didn’t do much today either. Laundry up the whazoo!! Hubby got the groceries and cooked dinner. Ben and Sarah did a little cleaning, but otherwise we were all pretty much zombies.

We went to the in-laws for dinner, and it was yummy as usual. We took them a whole bag of DVDs to watch. They love that! I also keep them supplied in books. They’ve done lots for us over the years, so it’s the least we can do for them.

AI was BORING!! Good heavens guys! Suck it up! Take a chance, and entertain us!!! A couple of them were VERY good, but many of them were snoozy!! Sheesh!

Hooked On Bejeweled

Nothing much going on around here. I’m tired and lazy as seems to be the norm lately. Mostly I’m just waiting for Spring to get here.

I’ve gotten re-hooked on Bejeweled and have been watching gems fall by the hour. Today we’re going to the in-laws for dinner. Sarah and Ben are going with some friends to a concert.

We’re all off tomorrow as well, due to it being Family Day here. Hubby actually has today and tomorrow off. *shock*

Friday Feast

Friday’s Feast - a buffet for your brain

Appetizer - Name 2 things you do that you consider beneficial to your health.
I exercise, and I quit smoking, even though I’d like to start again.

Soup - If you made a New Year’s resolution, how’s it going so far?
Never make them, because right about now, I’d be telling you how lousy I did with it!

Salad - Name something that has happened lately that bothers you.
My co-worker is NOT a team player and her negativity is getting to me.

Main Course - What is your favorite quote, and who said it?
“Life gave us 2 ends. Our success depends on which one we use the most.” -source unknown

Dessert - What do you collect?
I seem to collect workout DVD’s and books.

That Low Huh?

Today Nick had a very bad day, and during one of the “discussions” we were having, he says to me, “There’s rocks, there’s whale poop, and then there’s YOU!”

A little later he says, “We’re not scrap, and you can not treat us this way!”

LMAO… too much “Shark Tales” for that boy!!!
