Another Year Has Gone By

I guess now would be the time that I should write something deep and meaningful and insightful while reflecting on 2003. But I won’t. I’m sitting here trying to decide if overall this was a good year, or a bad year. I guess if I have to think this hard about it, it can’t have been too bad! *snort* But the same can be said, if I have to think this hard, it can’t have been too memorable either!

Because I can’t complete a coherent thought today, I’ll do like everyone else!

January: Ben turned 16, got his 1987 Dodge Ram truck, and his driver’s license. A whole new freedom for Mom, a whole new thing to worry about!

February: Weather was bitterly cold. I kept myself warm by spending lots of time working out and hot tubbing.

March: Spring was starting to show signs of appearing. They traded my favorite Oiler, Janne Niinimaa and broke my heart! *pout* BASTARDS

April: Sarah turned 20! I turned 45. I’m in the best shape I’ve been in in 20 years. I had Tim’s folks and Sarah’s bf out for Easter dinner. It was gorgeous, and we could even sit outside after dinner and have coffee. I attended my first Oilers playoff game in 25 years. What excitement!! Sarah finished 2nd year nursing.

May:Participated in the 2nd Relay for Life. We held the retirement picnic for our principal at work. I did the Power Point presentation for it. It went over real well! Sarah had her HUGE ass tonsils removed after a year of chronic tonsilitis. I had our Mothers here for a wonderful BBQ for Mothers’ Day.

June:I did some outdoor painting. I had to say goodbye to my sweet little Andrew at school. I’m so going to miss that child. All of us were bawling like babies! Finally watched the 2 Harry Potter movies. Attended the first family reunion of hubby’s fathers’ side.

July:Off work for the summer. Crazy busy doing spring cleaning! Enjoying the warmth. Ben got his truck painted.

August:Back to school shopping has begun. Took Tony out to lunch and spent the afternoon with him here. Sarah and Ron started dating.

September: Back to working life. Nicholas (alias Hannibal) is my charge this year. QUITE a handful! Ron got sent to Ontario. Sarah is heartbroken.

October: Thanksgiving was enjoyed twice. Sarah & I went down to my Mom’s as the guys were sick. Monday we all went to my MIL’s for dinner as well. Another Oiler season has begun. My witch got stolen on Halloween! *ggrrrr*

November: I was sick for several weeks. Ben smashed up my car. Made good money on EBay this month selling my HC tickets and a shitload of stuff! The Heritage Cl*assic was held here. Hubby and Sarah went. It was -21 degrees but wonderful!

December:We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary. Hubby turned 46. The Oilers are in a big slump. A nice Christmas was had by all this year.
