Friday Five

1. Do you like to shop? Why or why not? I love shopping WHEN I’m in the mood. I HATE shopping when I “have” to find something, such as an outfit for a wedding, grad, or some such special event. You always find things like that when you don’t need them.

2. What was the last thing you purchased? some groceries

3. Do you prefer shopping online or at an actual store? Why? I love online shopping. It’s wonderful to be able to get what you need with the simple click of a mouse. You get to avoid the ass clowns on the roads, the rude idiots in the stores, and I’m all about sitting on my ass, and I can do that if I shop online! hehe!

4. Did you get an allowance as a child? How much was it? I specifically remember getting 25 cents a week, and it was enough to buy a pop and chips, on Friday after choir practice, and then I was broke until the next Friday. (some things never change, including my spending habits!)

5. What was the last thing you regret purchasing? my FUCKING piece of shit, tin, can useless on the snow…….NEON!

TGIF

This week was a short one, but it felt like one of the longest I’ve had in a while! Little Nicholas was on a real roll most of the week. Yesterday, I was giving him “shit” cause he wouldn’t do his work, and he put his little hands on his hips, and stomped his foot with a particularily huffy look on his face, and declared, “Hmmmph!! I am the PAGEMASTER!!

99% of Nick’s language has come from computer games, video games, and Disney movies. That’s just what he picked up from first. It’s quite amusing! Fortunately I’m familiar with enough of it, that I can respond “appropriately”. Most of the staf listening the Nick and my “conversations” just walk by and shake their heads.

The other day, he was in the grade one classroom, listening to a story. For what ever reason, he decided he needed me for something, and hollered, “Bev!” When I came quickly into the room, he loudly said, “Welcome to the show!”

Well I NEVER!!

Today I was trying to do a language lesson with my ornery little man, and I said, “Nicholas, what is your whole name?”

His response? “Be QUIET! I’m trying to sleep!”

Later in the day when I was checking on in him in the washroom, I peeked in and there he was, a sink full of soap suds, putting big handfuls of soap on his cheeks, proudly looking at himself and proclaiming “Santa Claus 2!!”

*shaking head*

Little Pain In My Ass!

4 days off from school does not do nice things to an autistic 6 year old! Geesh! Every single thing was a struggle. It took at least 3 times as long to do anything today. All the coaxing and waiting, drives me nuts some days!

Just fucking do it kid and save us both a lot of headaches!

Ben’s at work. Sarah’s at work. I have a roast ready, coleslaw and fresh buns and we’re going to have hot roast beef sandwiches, coleslaw, and watch the Oilers’ game on TV when hubby gets home. I’m going to con the old guy into giving me a shoulder rub. I don’t know why, but my joints are bothering me so much today that I feel like a very OLD woman! *hush now*

As Promised

Here’s a picture of Sarah at the big Heritage Classic game before the 57,000+ crowds arrived. You can see the ice surface down in the center of the football field. Looks just a tad chilly, doesn’t it!? I was just reading a bunch of articles about the game, and one reporter mentioned that the Montreal goalie had on a “ski cap”… LMAO… it’s called a TUQUE fool! Go back to reporting basketball! heh!

Lazy Sunday

We were all pretty happy and content to just stay in the house where it was warm and be lazy.

Sarah and hubby enjoyed themselves at the game yesterday. It was a great experience, but they sure were cold! They took some pictures, so I’ll post a couple tomorrow.

Tomorrow is another day off, so I’m going to finish up some chores, and not do too much.

Heritage Classic Hockey

Well why Sarah and hubby are out freezing their knuckles off at the Heritage Hockey Classic hockey game, I’ve been watching on the big screen from under a blanket. They left at noon, and it’s 8:15 and it’s just finished. The Oilers megastars won, but the current Oilers lost by a goal. Damn!

It is minus 23 degrees celsius out there, and there’s nearly 58,000 nuts out there! Actually I’m jealous. If I wasn’t such a wimp, I’d love to have been there!
