3. Are there any sports you hate? not really! (well maybe car racing……..if you call that a sport…..which I don’t)
4. Have you ever been to a sports event? LOTS…….we had Edmonton Eskimo football season tickets for years, and now we have Edmonton Oilers hockey team season tickets. We went to the World Track and Field championships, and I went to the World Figure Skating Championships.
5. Do/did you play any sports (in school or other)? How long did you play? YES!!! Sports have always been a real focal point of my life, either as a participant or a fan. I grew up learning to skate at the age of 2. In the farming community where I grew up, we lived on skates in the winter, and most of us had big rinks in our yards. I played flag football with the boys for fun. I played on softball teams until I was in high school. I played on the high school basketball team. I was a sprinter. I skied in the winter and played pond hockey. I had a horse and did lots of riding.
As an adult, hubby and I played on a mixed slow pitch ball team until the kids were about 10 and 6 and getting too busy with there own sports for us to have time to play anymore. I gave up golf and skiing when I had kids, but plan on taking those up again one day.
Even now, I am an avid exerciser. Usually logging 5 hours of working out/week. Our kids have always been involved in sports as well, and our son is in grade 12 and still playing soccer, snowboarding and golfing.
