This or That

1. Large or small family? We both come from very small families. I often wish they were much larger.
2. Potato chips or pretzels? Pringles
3. House or apartment? House for a few more years, and then I want to go either real urban and get a condo downtown Edmonton to retire in, or go the opposite extreme and buy a house out at the lake and retire there.
4. Zebras or giraffes? zebra
5. Candles or potpourri? cinnamuffin candles
6. Flowers or trees? Trees if I could only have one or the other in my yard. I’m all about shade and privacy!
7. Right or left-handed? right
8. Model trains or dolls/stuffed animals? teddy bears!
9. Comedy or drama? a variety depending on my mood of the moment
10. Thought-provoking question of the week: The city of Boston has recently banned smoking in all restaurants and bars. Would you want to see such a law passed in your city/town/country, or not? I love that bylaw. Edmonton is in the transition phase of implementing this bylaw. I don’t care if people want to smoke. I did it for 17 years, but don’t blow smoke in my face when my family and I are eating dinner! Blech! Don’t chuck you cigarette butts all over the ground! They’re just as much litter as my gum wrappers, and I use a trash can for them! About the only place you can smoke here now is bars and bingo halls. Restaurants have to declare if they are smoking or not, and if they want to have a smoking section then no one under the age of 18 can go there. I think it’s all good. Little kids shouldn’t have to be subjected to all that smoke. I was always a very considerate smoke (as much as you can be…) never smoked at the table, never smoked in the car, etc. but I never realized how unbearable it can be for the non-smokers around you until I quit. As the years have gone on, most of our friends and family have quit too, so we’re rarely around it. Now when I am around it, it makes me physically sick. Blech!
