One of the boys in grade 4 was having trouble with some Math today. Work that normally would not be difficult for him. The teacher asked him, “Dallas, what’s wrong today?” Dallas replied, “I don’t know teacher! My brain seems to be MALEfunctioning!”

Working on adding smilies, but I don’t have time to finish it. I’ve got something WONKY!

Andrew and I were working on spelling today. He had the word CH_CK and was supposed to look at “chick” and fill in the missing letter. Usually a simple thing for him to do. He was half laying on my table, ass half off the chair, kind of looking up at the ceiling, not concentrating at all. Me: “Andrew, what letter goes in the space?” He: “G”
Me: “Andrew, what letter goes in the space?”
He: “M”
Me: “Andrew, what letter goes in the space?”
He: ‘F’
Me: Andrew there’s no f-in-chick!!!!

My eyes got as big and round as saucers hoping no one else heard my slip up! The whole time I’m thinking of that joke that goes along those lines, so I quickly said, “It’s okay Andrew, let’s just try an “I” in there!”

A mild-mannered man was tired of being bossed around by his wife; so he went to a psychiatrist. The psychiatrist said he needed to build his self-esteem, and so gave him a book on assertiveness, which he read on the way home.

He had finished the book by the time he reached his house. The man stormed into the house and walked up to his wife. Pointing a finger in her face, he said, “From now on, I want you to know that *I* am the man of this house, and my word is law! I want you to prepare me a gourmet meal tonight, and when I’m finished eating my meal, I expect a sumptuous dessert afterward.
Then, after dinner, you’re going to draw me my bath so I can relax.

Well I woke up at 5:30 am as per usual, all set to do my workout, but I made the mistake of stopping at my computer, and finding Candy online, I ended up chatting and exercising only my fingers. That’s okay, it was time well spent, and I’m fairly sore from yesterday’s workout.

My plan for the day is to get dressed, head off to work, mail some packages and buy some more padded envelopes during my lunch hour, head back to work, gobble lunch, work, stop for groceries on the way home, unpack groceries, change, workout, cook low fat garlic shrimp fettuccini for dinner, clean up the kitchen, and then COLLAPSE!

My day improved drastically from my first post of the day. I had a hard, hour long workout, threw some laundry in the direction of the machine, had some lunch, showered, and then took off in my car for a couple hours this afternoon. The temperature rose quite a bit and the sun was shining SO bright that it felt not so bad at all! I thoroughly enjoyed myself! Improved my mood 150%!!

When I got home I had a nice, long soak in the hot tub with some vanilla oil, and soaked my bones which I know are going to be terribly sore tomorrow after my workout. I’ve been all alone ever since I got home. Ben is at work. Sarah and a gf went to the Oiler game, cause I was too lazy to go in this cold, and hubby left around noon, so the snore boar is no more!!! Yay for sleeping in peace and QUIET!!!

The reason for my lack of yappiness is that it’s friggin’ freezing here!! Minus 29F this morning at 9:20 am. Not fun. Makes all my old bones hurt, and makes me not want to leave my cave! Good thing I have Candy to keep my spirits up, or I might hurt someone! HA!

I have to pack hubby’s clothes as he’s got an overnight business trip. YAY!!!!!!!! Last night there was nearly a homicide in my bed! I’d been asleep for 2 hours when the snore boar came to bed. OMG I seriously thought I was going to shove a pillow up his nose. Finally I moved downstairs to the couch. Of course I had to chase my teens to bed (2:00 am) so I could do that!

Can you tell I’m suffering from PMS?????? I thought NOT!

1. What is your most prized material possession? my family ring, and my painting I got for Christmas of the family farm I grew up on

2. What item, that you currently own, have you had the longest? my baby book ha!

3. Are you a packrat? no!!! Hate clutter!

4. Do you prefer a spic-and-span clean house? Or is some clutter necessary to avoid the appearance of a museum? I like a tidy and clean house. I’m not NEAR as fussy as I used to be, so that’s a good thing!

5. Do the rooms in your house have a theme? Or is it a mixture of knick-knacks here and there? There are “color themes” so to speak. Everything in most rooms “matches”.

Well the spring day lasted for just that……a day. Now it’s bitter cold, snowy, and grey out again. The kids at school must be getting sick of it too, as they have sure been noisey this week!

We go swimming tomorrow with the class, so that’s always another busy day.

It’s a gorgeous day out! The sun is shining bright, and the sun feels so warm today. Lots of clean white snow. Feels like spring could be coming, but it’s NOT! We’ve got more cold and snow on the way this week. We likely have at least 2 more months of winter left before it’s time to lay on a blanket in the sunshine! I’m not even going to think about that fact though, as it’s entirely too depressing. I’m just going to enjoy these wonderful days as a preview to spring! Spring is my favorite season by far!! It’s kind of like you’re let out of prison!

Work was good, even though I think there’s going to be a revolt in that building pretty soon. It has little effect on me personally though, so I’m not going to worry about it too much. People seem to like to tell me things though, so I’m always getting hauled off to a quiet corner for “a talk”.

Yesterday hubby and I watched My Big Fat Greek Wedding. I LOVED it! I haven’t laughed that hard at a movie in years!! Wonderful movie! Seems like the hot tub temperature has settled down now, as it felt wonderful last night!!

This morning I was up with the crows for my hour long workout, showered, had breakfast, changed our bed, put a roast on for dinner, checked email and chatted with Candy, and then went to work. Came home, dusted and vacuumed the main floor, finished the laundry, and now I’m going to check my reads and boards, and then I have to make potatoes, salad and cauliflower to go with the roast…….before the Oilers game at 5:30!
