Yesterday Sarah’s final transcript of high school marks came in the mail. She bombed her Social Studies 30 diploma exam for the second time. I don’t know what the high school system is like where you live, but this just completely bites. The ONLY year of school that means a thing is grade 12. AND those silly departmental diploma exams are worth 70% of your final mark. So basically everything you do for 3 years is just summed up on one test! In Sarah’s case this means bad news, as she’s LOUSY at taking tests. She does extremely well in the written response portion and bombs the multiple choice (if you can imagine)… she over thinks them to death and can’t make up her mind between the 2 “best” possible choices. It’s my Mom’s fault…. she said she was exactly the same way! Ughh.

Oh, I’m exactly that way. Give me an essay any day. Multiple choice I loathe :(

I’m the same way. I always freaked out at test-taking time, but could usually snowjob my way through any essay exam. Multiple choice though? Ick! I could never decide which was the best answer. After reading them for awhile, it’s even worse. Even the bad answers start to sound good!

Oh! I know what it is like. In my country we have to pass an exam with the things we learn in the 6 years of middle school and high school. It’s two days in a row… and the end you feel dizzy! I hope Sara will do good… tests make me nervous too :P
